Dr. Edje’s professional home for advocacy at the state and national level has been Ohio. As Chief of Staff of her hospital, she found the Ohio State Medical Association to be a catalytic partner for advocating on behalf of her patients and fellow physicians of all specialties. From the medical liability and tort reform crisis in early 2000’s to creating enduring material for use in the Opiate Crisis, Lou Edje has been dedicated to finding partnerships that move the needle on issue that matter. Dr. Edje also had the privilege of being the campaign manager for current Vice Speaker of the American Medical Association, Dr. Lisa Egbert in her run for OSMA President in 2020.
